The QUANCOM® Clock77 amplifier allows cable lenghts up to 100 metres between the computer and the antenna. The CLOCK-77/Verst can be used for the PCI Atom Clock Receiver and the ISA Atom Clock Receiver.
The Clock77 cards are receivers for the long wave DCF77 signal located in Braunschweig / Germany. The signal is transmitted by the "Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt" (short PTB http://www.ptb.de ) at a frequency of 77,5 kHz. The transmitter location is around 25 km in the south-east of Frankfurt am Main ( Mainflingen ) and the maximum covered range is up to 2000 km distance from Frankfurt. For safety purposes the time signal is generated by 3 independend atom clocks.
